Helmi also said the center is set to hold an exhibition of Islamic and Quranic calligraphy artworks at the museum.

Moraitou has welcomed the suggestion during the meeting and elaborated on the history of the museum’s Islamic treasury and the methods and process of collecting the works.

She also noted that considering a large number of visitors of the museum who are students and teenagers, showcasing Islamic artworks will be a helpful step for getting the younger Greek generation acquainted with Islamic arts.

The meeting came to conclusion after the Greek official gifted some of the religious books and brochures of the museum to the Iranian representative.
